Candles that bring awareness!

Rob's birthday weekend is coming to a close. His birthday falls three weeks after mine..... every year.... lol Some one reminded me of our birthday gifts to each other in 2004...... The boys wanted to get me something..... balloons, a cake, and a gift... we had an office at the time and I was there working..... here they all come and Rob was feeling all accomplished! lol The boys couldn't wait for me to open my present! I unwrapped a beautiful, pink candle! As I looked at it closely there was a ribbon that went all the way around it and was melted into the side.... it said, "Breast Cancer Awareness" and it said it over and over and over again making it's way around the candle so that you could see it from every angle! lol I thought it was pretty funny..... Rob couldn't believe it... he never even noticed... he just knew I loved candles! lol MEN! LOL

SOOOOOO, His Birthday is three weeks later..... of course he would be getting a gift also..... I went and found him a candle.... I then created a ribbon to go around his too..... that said, "Prostate cancer awareness" over and over and over and over again so that you could see it from ever angle! lol IT definitely painted a picture for him!! LOL We now have our lovely candles... and have now reached an age that they are much more meaningful ..... LOL Of course I am very mindful of the seriousness of both breast cancer and prostate cancer..... I just do not want to celebrate my birthday with their memorabilia! LOL I love this man and the joy that we have been blessed with in our life! I was so blessed when God gave me YOU! :-) I have been printing out my post and the responses for him to read this week..... he get's worried... says he don't know if his heart can take it... he says, "What have you wrote now?!" LOL

Rob got up just dying for an Egg McMuffin..... we were late leaving... left Molino at about 10:00... Mc D's is at least 20 min down the road.... hurry ourselves that way.... get there and there is a long line at drive thru so he says... "I'll just go in so I can be sure and get it before they stop serving breakfast" Stands in line for at least 15 min.... when he steps up it is after the breakfast deadline and he is so afraid he is going to miss his Egg McMuffin.... FINALLY he has made it to the register... lady says, "Last breakfast order, we are not serving lunch" Wwhhheeew ... he made it!!! He got his Egg McMuffin and my plan muffin!!! Get's in the car.... I look in the bag and see the two muffins, put one over in his lap and take out mine... then I felt bad... I seen the jelly and thought, "Yesterday WAS his birthday, I guess I should put the jelly on his muffin for him" :-) I get it back out of his lap, put the jelly all over the one side... and put it back in his lap.... so proud of my nice self..... I began eating mine and minding my own business when suddenly I am almost choked on my bite of muffin .... he has SLAMMED on breaks and rolling down the window spitting out the cherished, fought for muffin... :-( Then hollers!!!! "WHO PUT JELLY ON MY EGG MCMUFFIN!!!!!!!!!!!!" ooops..... I scraped it off as good as I could... he ate one side of muffin with cheese, egg and ham.... I ate another muffin 'with jelly' :-/ I said "Well why did you HAVE jelly if you didn't WANT jelly?" LOL He said, "that was for YOUR muffin!" lol I can't even get FAST FOOD right! LOL AND... what DID you think I was doing when I took it out of your lap and was putting jelly on it right in front of you!!??? LOL
