Isaiah 48 : 10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
Rob and I and our boys went through a season of our life that changed us. Changed how we lived, how people viewed us and made us
better while other's may have had other views of that.... we knew what happen from the inside out.... others could only see the changes materialistically.
Placing our Faith 100% on the line makes for a great story.... sounds good.... but
when you come to where you are at... it is no longer just a pretty line that Christians use.... but it is necessary.... and you will learn to walk in the dark, putting one foot in front of the other with total Faith that the foundation below your feet is there
for the next step.
I lived next door to my parents... out in the country... at night it would get SO dark .... There is an outside light but the house will cast a large shadow across the yard so that the darkness is so incredible you can't see your
hand in front of you.....
I would walk over the 100 or so steps to my parents home in that darkness some times.... as I walked a few months back I thought about how certain I was that the ground in front of me was secure..... and it occurred to me that
this was the kind of Faith I had to have..... when I placed my foot in front with no hesitations what so ever.... I KNEW the ground was there and never even gave it another thought. I felt as if God spoke to my spirit and said "I am trying to teach you to
walk in the spirit as you are now walking in the flesh.... with total confidence" I let go and made my decision that night to let God be God and to stop trying to help Him out so much.... just let Him open the doors and I would walk through them as He leads.
I know your situation sounds very bleak at this time..... but put one foot in front of the other, and know that the ground will be there.... your God will provide every need.
I learned during this time that there was a deeper relationship that I
had to have with Him.... and I went from Faith.... to TRUST..... trust is solid, 100% sure... and never wavering.. Faith can at times be shaky.... we do not understand.... but when we learn to Trust.... we are certain He has it all in His hands.
If
you are walking in the dark.... just keep walking..... firmly.
